The newly implemented system meticulously tracks every surface mount technology (SMT) component reel by part number, date code, and lot number. As components are assembled for medical device manufacturing, each printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) receives a unique serial number, and every component part number and lot number are meticulously tied and tracked to that serial number.
In response to the stringent requirements of medical device original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), NEOTech has taken on the responsibility of improving barcode product tracking at multiple checkpoints within the manufacturing process.
